Cline Family Cellars Ancient Vines Zinfandel 2020

Celebrating 40 years of winemaking, Cline Family Cellars produced a special anniversary bottle designed for their legendary Ancient Vines Zinfandel, sourced from their dry-farmed, 100-year-old estate vineyards in Contra Costa County, California. The 2020 Ancient Vines Zinfandel draws primarily from a wide selection of Cline’s oldest, most historical, and shyest-bearing Zinfandel blocks in Contra Costa County. This wine was aged in French oak for 15 months.

Nose: Lush notes of red and dark berries, baking spice, earthy, and floral.
Palate: Beautifully balanced with strawberry leading the parade of plum, juicy berries, spice, a hint of herbs, and a long finish of pepper and strawberry lingering.
Alcohol: 14.5%
SRP: $16
Pairings:  Grilled or BBQ meat and chicken, spicy Asian cuisine, seared tuna, and charcuterie.
