When I heard about another new Tequila hitting the market, my first thought was “which celebrity is behind this one?” Turns out, there is no celebrity involved in Telsón, the new Tequila being sold by Las Vegas-based spirits company Romero Brands and marketed nationwide through various channels including stores and websites.
It’s been said that a scorpion’s venom has healing powers and aphrodisiac properties. The name, Telsón, translates to “the tail”, and pays homage to the scorpion’s stinger while drawing inspiration from the Mexican lore that says scorpions find their afterlife in Tequila.
This cleanly packaged Tequila, twice-distilled from 100% Weber Blue Agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco, comes in the traditional categories of Blanco ($39.99), Reposado ($47.99), and Añejo ($56.99). I tasted the Blanco and found it clean and showing subtle notes of vanilla. Perfect for sipping neat or with a cube.
Sounds like something I would like to try
