Vera Wang and Chopin Vodka have announced their engagement.
Wang, a Chinese-American, is the world renowned fashion designer most known for her glorious wedding gowns, which have graced everyone from celebrities to First Ladies to this writer’s wife. Chopin, who is Polish, makes, arguably, the world’s finest potato-based vodka. The happy couple have not made public a wedding date, and plan to keep it chill(ed), for now.
OK, they’re not getting married, but The new Vera Wang X Chopin collaboration is certainly worthy of a spot on everyone’s wedding bar! Made from a special type of young potato hand-picked for it’s flavor by Wang and expertly crafted under the watchful eye of Chopin’s Founder & CEO Tadeusz “Tad” Dorda, this first-of-its-kind “Fashion meets Vodka” collaboration is sure to help the bride’s side of the aisle break the ice with the groom’s side.
Details on how the couple met are a bit cloudy, but suffice to say, Wang admits to a long love affair with the spirit, so we can probably figure out the rest. She even designed the bottle, which, you guessed it, is dressed in black and white. “I am so grateful for the opportunity to co-create a spirit I adore so much, with such a storied distiller,” she says, adding, “Vodka is amazing, vodka is cool, vodka is sexy, vodka makes me smile, vodka makes me dance, vodka makes me happy, vodka is sunsets, vodka is the night, vodka is love, vodka is Chopin.”
Vera Wang X Chopin Young Potato Vodka is available nationwide. 40% ABV, $99.
